Behind the Scenes of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: An Eventful Weekend in Dallas

I had the awesome opportunity to produce two exclusive events surrounding Netflix’s “most streamed sporting event ever:” Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. Hosted in Dallas, our events were a perfect blend of high-profile personalities and unforgettable moments. From a private watch party to an exclusive after-party at a million-dollar mansion, it was a weekend of adrenaline, luxury, and networking.

Netflix’s Paul Vs. Tyson Weigh-In at  the Toyota Music Factory, Irving, TX.

My Role as Media & Publicity Director:
I manage the guest list for both events, ensuring smooth operations and making sure everyone in attendance had an unforgettable experience. My role also involves working closely with media to secure coverage and distribute content for press. I was able to pitch four stories, including two exclusives and two features with TMZ, TMZ Sports, and Page Six, which helped elevate the events’ exposure.

Special thanks to 1-800-Liquors and CSE for entrusting me with running their events smoothly. From pre to post-production logisitics and content distribution, it was a whirlwind of action, and I’m proud of how it all came together.

Jake’s Official Watch & Post-Party at Rayleigh Studios:
The first event of the weekend was a watch party hosted by Celebrity Sports Entertainment at The Rayleigh Underground, a beautiful new venue right outside of Dallas next to The Toyota Music Factory where the weigh-in was held.

Jake Paul’s team brought the right vibes, along with a slew of athletes and celebrities who gathered to watch and celebrate Jake’s big win against Tyson. Among the notable attendees were boxing trainer J’Leon, Rashee Rice of the Kansas City Chiefs, and NBA legend Metta World Peace.

To cap off the night, we brought in Netflix's official fight DJ, E-V. Our VIPs were taken care of with multiple bottles, a fixed food menu and Tempters Cannabis infused cocktails, making it a night to remember for everyone involved.

Jake Paul’s Official After-Party:
The second event of the weekend was an exclusive after-party for Jake Paul, hosted by Betr and Passes, at a private, multi-million-dollar mansion. This was no ordinary party – it was a celebration worthy of a champion. The house was artful and modern with vendors filling both the in and outdoor space providing energy and excitement.

Behind the bar, popular brands like Celsius, Tempters, DrinkWtr, BeatBox, and Cacti added to the vibe of the evening and kept the drinks pouring. An unforgettable mention is the food trucks from El Gallo brought out sliders, tots, fried chicken and hot dogs brought to you by Jake’s recent investment, Dog Haus.

Jake, accompanied by his girlfriend and Olympic medalist Jutta Leerdam, was joined by his entire family, including his brother Logan Paul, who was celebrating becoming a new dad with his fiancée, Victoria’s Secret model Nina Agdal. The guest list read like a who's-who of celebrities: NBA star Al Harrington, social star Hailey Welch, actress Amber Rose, Dallas Cowboys' Dez Bryant, The Bachelor star Tyler Cameron, and many more.

Exclusive Weigh-In Experience and Networking:
One of the most exciting parts of the weekend was attending Netflix’s official weigh-in for Paul vs. Tyson’s fight night. It was a surreal moment to be part of the action and witness the intensity leading up to the main event. I appreciated connecting with executives from Netflix both on a personal and professional level.

I had the privilege of mingling with a number of high-profile individuals. Among them were my colleague Sibley Scoles from E! News, who co-hosted the fight, as well former NBA player Matt Barnes, whose insights on sports culture are invaluable. It was a pleasure also getting predictions from Jacob “Stitch” Duran, AKA the official ring side cutman. I chatted with entrepreneurs like Marcus Withers and Bill Hutchinson, both million-dollar homeowners in Dallas.

Looking Ahead to the Next Big Event:
What a weekend! The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight weekend in Dallas was filled with excitement, luxury, and a full roster of celebrities, athletes, and industry influencers. It’s experiences like these that remind me why I love working in event production and media – the thrill of pulling it all together, the energy of the crowd, and the exclusive behind-the-scenes moments that come with it.
